The short version. 0xRange is an educational range. Everything you attack here is a sandboxed recreation — never a real chain, never real funds. What you learn is for defence and for testing systems you are authorised to test. You must be 18 or over.
1. Who we are
0xRange (“0xRange”, “we”, “us”) is an ethical-hacking training range for blockchain and smart-contract security, operated from the United Kingdom. You can contact us at hello@0xrange.com.
2. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using 0xrange.com you agree to these terms, our Acceptable Use Policy and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You confirm this when you sign up. Accounts belong to one person and may not be shared or transferred.
4. What the range is — and is not
- Labs, puzzles and quizzes are educational simulations. Labs run against sandboxed recreations of historical incidents; nothing on 0xRange interacts with a public blockchain or moves real value.
- Incident write-ups describe past, publicly documented events for teaching purposes. They are not allegations about any person or organisation beyond the public record.
- Tiers, XP, achievements and certificates reflect your activity on 0xRange. They are not a professional qualification, licence or accreditation, and they do not certify that you can audit production systems.
- Nothing on 0xRange is financial, investment, legal or professional security advice.
5. Your account
Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us promptly at security@0xrange.com if you think your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity on your account.
6. Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, you may only use the techniques you practise here against the 0xRange sandbox and against systems you own or are explicitly authorised in writing to test. Manipulating XP, leaderboards, streaks, achievements or certificates is also a breach.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you write — your audit reports, profile bio and similar content. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store and display it on 0xRange according to the visibility settings you choose, and to keep an internal copy for integrity and abuse-prevention purposes while your account exists.
Do not put confidential third-party information in your content, and never include details of an unfixed vulnerability in a live system — report those to the affected project through its own disclosure process instead.
8. Paid plans
Some labs and features are part of paid plans. When card billing is available, prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) including any applicable VAT, and payments are processed by our payment provider. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We will give you reasonable notice before changing the price of an existing subscription.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
9. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep 0xRange available and accurate, but the range changes as we add and retire content and we may need to pause it for maintenance. We may change or withdraw features; if we withdraw something you have paid for, we will offer a fair pro-rata refund.
10. Suspension and closure
You can stop using 0xRange at any time and ask us to delete your account by e-mailing hello@0xrange.com. We may suspend or close an account, reset progress or revoke certificates if these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy are breached, telling you why where it is lawful and safe to do so.
11. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for business losses, or for losses caused by your own misuse of the techniques taught on the range. Our total liability to you in connection with 0xRange is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we will give you notice on the site or by e-mail before they take effect. The date at the top shows the current version.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
